The EASYPIX Pulse Oximeter P02 is a practical mobility aid used to check pulse rate and measure oxygen saturation (Sp02). This procedure is extremely important as oxygen saturation indicates the percentage of haemoglobin in the arterial blood that is loaded with oxygen. Should there be insufficient oxygen saturation in the haemoglobin it will affect how well the major organs such as brain and heart function.

The EASYPIX Pulse Oximeter P02 is used not only to measure the pulse but also as a test to measure the oxygen level of the blood. Oxygen is transported round the body by the blood to ensure that all parts of the body function properly. The test is easy and painless and it is important to do it regularly.

The EASYPIX Pulse Oximeter P02 is a small, clip-like device which is attached to a part of the body, usually a finger. The test is non-invasive and can be done in doctors surgeries, in hospitals, and, as a useful mobility aid, by an individual in their own home. To take a reading it is necessary to first remove any nail varnish, then check that your hand is warm and relaxed. Before clipping on the device, place your hand below the level of your heart. You can also clip the Pulse Oximeter onto a toe or the lobe of your ear.

The EASYPIX Pulse Oximeter P02 uses two light beams of different wavelengths for measurement. This action allows the device to calculate the oxygen saturation in the blood and then show the result on the display.
