Evacuation Overlay
This 9cm deep, pressure distributing, overlay is permanently fitted on top of a traditional spring mattress.
The top surface is covered in a vapour permeable, two way stretch wipe clean material.
The base is covered with a tough coated PVC for sliding over any surface like stairs. It is held onto the bed with tucks which double as cocooning flaps to secure the patient in transit.
The flexible nature of the overlay enables narrow stairs and doorways to be negotiated. With this device the patient does not have to be transferred. Two people required for evacuation.
