What’s the difference between a single motor and dual motor rise and recliner chair?

A single motor riser recliner chair is where just the one motor controls all the electric functions on the chair. The back rest, foot rest and riser functions are all operated through one set of buttons on the hand controller, which in turn operates the single motor.

The chair can be put into a fully reclined position with the backrest reclined and footrest raised, all through pressing the button. By pressing the rise button, the chair moves into a raised sit-to-stand position. The backrest rises, the footrest drops and then the whole chair will help you to rise to a standing position.

A dual motor riser recliner chair uses two motors to control the actions of the chair.

One motor operates the backrest whilst the other motor operates the footrest and rising to stand function. Each motor has its own set of controlling buttons on the controller.

With dual motor rise and recline chairs, you have more flexibility in finding a comfortable position. The back rest lowers and rises independently of the footrest and seat rising, so you are able to create many different seating positions when compared to a single motor chair.
