This unique locking emergency switch or button cover has been developed to eradicate malicious or inappropriate pressing of the shut off button or switch. Unlike SSP Direct’s standard covers, this product offers an real barrier.

Incorporating a frangible lock, the person lifting the cover is met with real resistance. However, is important to note the frangible lock will break when lifted with genuine force in an emergency.

Another feature with this frangible locking cover is it can be released with the snake eye security key provided. This means the switch or push button can be serviced/tested without breaking and wasting the existing frangible lock.

Material: Clear, tamper-proof and robust 3mm thick polycarbonate.

Fitting: This emergency stop/shut off button cover requires little DIY experience to fit. This product is easily retro-fitted over previously installed buttons using the screws and rawl plugs it is supplied with.

The covers that are 7.8cm and 9.8cm deep have pop-outs should you need to install this cover over the top of a button that has surface mounted conduit trunking leading to the button.
