The timer has no spoken output when counting up, but when counting down the remaining time is spoken every hour until the last hour, every 10 minutes until the last 10 minutes, every minute until the last minute, every 10 seconds until the last 10 seconds, and then every second.

With this practical disability aid, counting can be paused and the Talking Timer has an auto-repeat function. Please note the remaining time is only spoken at defined intervals.
