Additionally, the armrests can be flipped back if needed to make side-transfers possible.
A seat insert is provided for use during transport and this can then be removed when in place. The chair can be used in a shower cubicle or wet room, as a commode with the square bowl provided, or the chair can be positioned over a regular toilet, removing the need for potentially risky transfers on and off the toilet in a confined space.
