Wooden Transfer Boards
This range of high-quality transfer boards is all manufactured in the UK using FSC grade birch plywood, giving consistent performance using wood taken from renewable wood sources.
Strong enough to bridge large gaps between transfer surfaces, the curved boards have slip-resistant pads on the underside to prevent them from moving during the transfer.
On the top side, there is a durable lacquered wipe-clean surface. These boards can also be cleaned with a disinfectant solution. Available as the following three models:
- Short - straight 24 inches - with rubber grips underneath particularly suitable for transfers in confined spaces. Length 600mm x width 210mm (24 x 8 inches) - weight 1.2kg (2lb 8oz). Maximum user weight 15 stone
- Long - straight 30 inches with tapered ends - this longboard includes two handholds to aid positioning and movement. Length 760mm x width 210mm (30 x 8 inches) - weight 1.4kg (3lb). Maximum user weight 15 stone
- Curved - complete with tapered ends - this board is particularly suitable for side transfers when used with chairs that have fixed armrests. Length 720mm x 250mm (28 x 9 inches) - weight 1.8kg (4lb). Maximum user weight 15 stone
